Why E80 Group chose our lithium battery

The old lead-acid batteries (with long recharge times and low energy efficiency) and traditional lithium batteries (with high maintenance costs) no longer met the needs of the now historic company in Viano, and so the partnership between the two companies based in Reggio Emilia was launched.

The advantages of the Flash Battery lithium battery pack over lead-acid battery packs and competitor products were obvious from the start: faster recharging and zero maintenance costs, better performance, faster balancing and the possibility of remote monitoring with preventive diagnostics.

Indeed, the E80 Group has chosen to implement Flash Battery lithium batteries on its newly introduced LGVs and AGVs, but also on currently operational laser-guided systems, as a replacement for lead-acid battery packs.

It’s a process of renewal, which the E80 Group has undertaken with determination and foresight to optimise its industrial machines and to offer increasingly better technologies to the market. Since then, Flash Battery has been supporting E80 Group through the study of tailor-made solutions aimed at improving the performance of the company’s industrial machinery and reducing the costs of LGV and AGV systems.

The collaboration between Flash Battery and E80 Group

The result of the establishment of this technical and commercial collaboration was the joint decision by the two management teams to increase the share capital of Flash Battery so that the E80 Group could acquire a 40% stake. Thus on 1 December 2015 the historic company headed by Enrico Grassi became a shareholder of the younger but no less promising enterprise founded by Marco Righi and Alan Pastorelli.

This synergy stemmed from a desire to combine experience, technical expertise and business strategies, giving birth to a new reality. The ultimate aim of this partnership combining the innovation of Flash Battery lithium batteries with the efficiency of the E80 Group’s industrial machines was to create state-of-the-art solutions that fully satisfy and build customer loyalty.

The application of the new Flash Battery technology to E80 Group’s LGV and AGV systems is further proof of the versatility and efficiency of Flash Battery systems. On the other hand, the collaboration between the two companies based in Reggio Emilia was undoubtedly an important step towards the integration of technologies fostering innovation and greater sustainability.

“Everything can be stopped except the power of a dream”, reads one of the mottoes behind the success of the company in Viano. And the choice to ally with the two young manufacturers of Flash Battery lithium batteries can only prove to be a winning one.
