Full-electric industry: electrifying the Benelux market through the partnership with Q-tronic BV

There’s no doubt the innovation process in the field of lithium batteries is moving in one direction: the electrification of Europe. May 2022 marks an important milestone for Flash Battery: the partnership with System Integrator Q-tronic BV for the electrification of the Benelux markets. The agreement was born out of the integration of two know-hows of excellence in industrial electrification
European Green Deal sets off from northern Europe
The European Union has a big goal: to decarbonise Europe by 2030, transforming it into the first continent to have zero impact on the climate. To do this, it not only draws on associations and projects aimed at continuous technological research, such as the BEPA network, and on European projects such as the IPCEI and NewControl (of which we are members together with a network of European partners), but also supports member countries with a large number of financing schemes to speed up this urgent transition. Benelux is one such case. With the Climate Agreement for the period 2021-2030, the region introduced several measures in every sector of economy to cut carbon emissions significantly and deliver tangible results in the energy transition from combustion to electric, especially in the fields of industrial machinery and electric vehicles used in construction and agriculture.
The partnership between Flash Battery and system integrator Q-tronic will definitely bring benefits to this process. Over the years, both companies have gained substantial experience in industrial electrification, offering producers and OEMs high-tech electrification solutions tailor-made to the requirements of each application.
Now, the greater depth of experience and technological know-how created through the collaboration will be put to use to create turnkey electrification packages in which the functions revolving around the electrification processes will be integrated and made available clearly, rapidly and efficiently: consulting, design, prototyping, quality of materials, reliability, sustainability and high performance delivered in an all-in-one package.

Q-tronic: a powertrain system integrator of excellence
Q-tronic BV is a Powertrain system integrator that has been working towards the industrial electrification of the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg for over forty years. Its broad expertise with inverters, engines, transaxels and battery chargers has enabled it to walk customers to the choice of the right components for electrification of applications spanning from off-road, construction, earth-moving and agricultural machinery to electric vehicles for airports and industry.

From now on, Q-tronic will bring Flash Battery lithium batteries to the Benelux market, offering producers and OEMs that want to electrify their equipment the expertise of the best Italian producer of lithium batteries and the outstanding reliability of Q-Tronic’s e-controls for battery vehicles, combined.

Flash Battery lithium technology in the front row of Europe’s electrification
The strategic partnership with System Integrator Q-Tronic will be geared towards markets with an international outreach that are very sensitive to the topics of innovation and technology and very demanding when it comes to quality. Flash Battery embodies these concepts through its corporate vision and shares them with all its European partners that are on the path to Europe’s electrification.
In addition to a high degree of customisation, which is what allows that the energy available is always exactly what the application needs and ensures the implementation of specific mechanical systems and components, the technology underlying Flash Battery offers many other advantages.
The proprietary balancing system, Flash Balancing System, is one of these, a must-have function that has yet to be matched by the competition. The Flash Balancing System can, in fact, act both actively and passively, during both charging and discharging, with a balancing power (20A) that surpasses by far that of conventional BMS systems. This translates into ultra-fast balancing in under 30 minutes and into greater battery autonomy and efficiency.
The Flash Balancing System is accompanied by another ally of Flash Battery technology, the Flash Data Center, a proprietary remote control system that monitors, 24/7, the state of health of over 15,000 Flash Battery lithium batteries installed in 54 countries around the world. It also analyses on a daily basis the operation data received, performing self-diagnosis and preventive maintenance and sending alerts in real time if faults occur.
Flash Data Center is a constantly evolving tool. We will be presenting the new 4.0 version at Bauma 2022 (Munich, 24-30 October 2022), featuring a new and improved interface and artificial intelligence algorithms that will make it possible to perform an even more detailed check on the fleet and consumption, a feature producers and OEMs can’t go without.
